Trust & safety

Safeguarding & Trust

Creating welcoming, inclusive and safer spaces is central to everything SYP Confidence CIC does.

Our approach

Safety is not an add-on. It is part of how we work.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk, and to building environments where people are treated with dignity, care and respect.

🛡

Clear responsibility

Safeguarding has named leadership and clear routes for responding to concerns.

🤝

Inclusive spaces

We aim to create activities where people can take part, feel valued and be themselves.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Ameenah Bailey is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for SYP Confidence CIC.

Safeguarding records and detailed concerns are restricted to the DSL and authorised executive safeguarding access held by Denise Shaw. Project managers and the wider team receive only the minimum information required to follow an approved safety instruction.

Safeguarding concerns should be raised through the appropriate route for the setting and activity involved. For general safeguarding contact, please email the organisation.

Safer participation

Know what to expect before taking part.

Young people, families and authorised professionals can read the public safety guide and community performance terms before making an enquiry.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For setting-specific concerns, follow the safeguarding process of the school, care setting, venue, local authority or partner organisation involved.
