How we will evidence progress
SYP Confidence CIC is launching its community programme. Our monitoring framework is being put in place before the first funded session rather than assembled afterwards, so outcomes are recorded from the beginning and our first cohort is fully evidenced.
Participation
Registration, referral, attendance and participation records proportionate to the activity — including attendance by people who choose to watch rather than take part.
Confidence
Confidence measures appropriate to the programme and age group, recorded at the start, during and after a period of activity.
Wellbeing
Wellbeing and mood measures suited to the setting, alongside participant-reported change in how people feel about themselves.
Connection
Reduced isolation and increased connection — measured through participation over time, returning attendance and relationships formed.
Participant voice
Feedback, stories and reflective check-ins in participants’ own words, gathered in ways that suit the person and the setting.
Partner outcomes
Partner feedback, outcomes achieved for the people they refer, and onward opportunities created — volunteering, leadership, mentoring or learning.
How we count
Watching counts.
Most organisations record only active participants. That means the people most affected by isolation — the ones least likely to sign up for anything — never appear in the figures at all.
SYPC records attendance by people who come and watch as participation in its own right. It is often the first step, and we would rather evidence it honestly than overlook it.
Governance
Reviewed, not just collected
Safeguarding, incident, quality and learning records are reviewed through governance. The board reviews risk, finance, safeguarding, data protection, quality and impact as the organisation develops, and SYP Confidence CIC files its annual accounts and CIC34 community interest report.
